About Me, My Fitness Journey
My fitness journey started over 10 years ago as a freshman in high school, training with my "powerlifter" dad(He trained hard for football and very easily couldve done powerlifting). He taught me proper form, how to lift heavy, and pushed me past my limits, laying the foundation for everything I know today. For years, I trained hard but knew nothing about nutrition.
That changed the day I saw Kai Greene pose-- I knew i wanted to be a bodybuilder. At 240 pounds, I attempted my first cut... and failed within days, eventually gaining even more weight. A few years later I started working for a "Health Guru" who owns a wholistic supplement company. Under his guidance, I learned how to eat, train, and live like a bodybuilder. I lost over 70 pounds and stepped on stage 3 times in one year in Classic Physique. I didn't win, but standing up there was the real victory.
Life Shifted when my wife and I had our first child. My weight 215 to 278 and stayed there. For months, I couldn't get back into my routine -- until one day I finally looked at myself in the mirror and decided I was done living that way. Over the past year, I've dropped from 278 to 210, with plans to lose another 10-15 pounds and NEVER return to my old habits.
This journey has had its ups and downs, but its taught me that no matter how many times I have failed, I always rise above even stronger.
